it could be done, but the worth of it is questionable, considering that it means extra work and they would miss out on sales from people who buy it on both platforms. because DRG was originally developed for steam, and later ported to xbox, to have crossplay, they would jave to drop the steam network framework and transfer everything to the xbox one. Microsoft allows crossplay, if the game uses their xbox network framework, but Sony for indtance doesn't allow crossplay at all. crossplay games that are present on multiple platforms usually use their own networking framework, not one of the platform's (eg ea games using origin's, ubisoft games usung ubi launcher, CiV using paradox launcher etc) which means that even if you launch a steam version, they will launch their own launcher and the game launches from there. Steam version uses Valve's networking framework, meanwhile Msstore/xbox version uses the xbox networkig framework.
